Pip: Let's start with what hydrogen projects actually demand of a structural material.
Where GRP Fits in Hydrogen Infrastructure
Mara: The question this post sets out to answer is a precise one: not whether GRP belongs in hydrogen infrastructure at all, but which corners of it GRP can legitimately occupy — and what must be verified before it gets there.

Fire performance gets particular attention — a general "fire-retardant" label is flagged as insufficient; the resin and product evidence must match the project's actual fire strategy.
Pip: The electrical properties section is where the language gets genuinely careful, and rightly so. Non-conductive and static-dissipative are not the same thing, and in a hydrogen environment that distinction is not a footnote.
Mara: The post is explicit: "A non-conductive product should not be described as static-dissipative or suitable for a hazardous area unless the exact product has appropriate evidence and the project engineer accepts it." So the burden of proof sits with the specific product, not the material category.
