A useful quotation is more than a component count. It should define where the handrail is used, what it must resist, how it is arranged and what it is fixed to—so the proposed supply route can be checked against the real application.

Application and duty

  • Name the required project standard, specification and design loading where known.

Geometry and layout

Do I need a drawing to request a quotation?

A clear dimensioned sketch, marked-up plan or photograph greatly improves accuracy. It should show separate runs, corners, ends, openings, level changes and mounting conditions.

What loading information should I provide?

Provide the project specification, governing standard and required line or point loads where available. If they are not known, describe the application and who will use the area so the uncertainty can be identified.

Are structural anchors included in a component quotation?
