Cut-to-Size Anti-Slip Products product and service detail

GRP EXPRESS PRODUCT SUPPORT

Cut-to-Size Anti-Slip Products

Plan stair nosings, step covers, sheets and strips around measured dimensions, substrate condition, traffic, exposure and fixing access.

Products we can discuss

Sheets and strips

Useful for walkways, work areas, boards, platforms, decking and targeted grip upgrades.

Steps and stairs

Step covers, nosings and stair safety products can be discussed around widths, depths and visibility needs.

Ramps and walkways

Ramp covers and walkway covers can be planned around route width, length, surface and traffic type.

Why request cut-to-size anti-slip support?

  • Reduce site trimming and make installation planning easier.
  • Match product size to real steps, ramps, walkways and surface areas.
  • Include adhesives, fixings and accessories in the same enquiry.
  • Support trade customers with repeat requirements and site schedules.

Preparing your anti-slip enquiry

Send the area dimensions, product type, substrate and exposure. Photographs or a marked-up plan help identify whether sheets, strips, covers or nosings are the best fit.

Related pages include GRP anti-slip flooring sheets, GRP anti-slip strips, anti-slip step covers, GRP ramp covers and GRP walkway covers.

Useful details to send

  • Surface type and area dimensions.
  • Indoor, outdoor, wet or oily conditions.
  • Pedestrian, trolley, vehicle or maintenance traffic.
  • Preferred product, colour and fixing method if known.

Send your anti-slip requirement

Share your dimensions, photos or surface notes and GRP Express can help with a practical cut-to-size anti-slip route.

Technical specification checkpoint

Specify the overlay as a complete retrofit system

GRP sheets and strips improve the surface of a sound substrate. Selection must address the existing structure, edge transitions, aggregate, cover thickness, fixing system and foreseeable contamination.

Substrate firstIdentify steel, concrete, timber, tile or GRP; repair corrosion, rot, cracking, movement and contamination before covering.
Surface gradeChoose aggregate and grit coarseness for footwear, traffic and cleaning. Coarser is not automatically better for every user.
Edges and interfacesCoordinate doors, thresholds, drainage channels, joints and exposed corners so the overlay does not introduce a trip edge.
Fixing systemUse compatible adhesive plus project-appropriate mechanical restraint where required; verify pull-out, edge distance and access beneath.
Specification areaWhat to establishEngineering boundary
Slip evidenceWet and dry PTV, slider, direction, surface condition and report reference.Specify representative contamination; retain the supplier’s test report.
GeometryOverall area, cut sizes, thickness, joint layout, falls and transition details.A surface cover does not correct an unsuitable ramp, stair or walkway geometry.
EnvironmentUV, water, oils, chemicals, temperature, coastal exposure and cleaning agents.Confirm resin, aggregate, adhesive and fastener compatibility.
MaintenanceInspection for loose edges, worn grit, cracks, blocked drainage and bond failure.Set inspection frequency from risk, use and exposure rather than claiming maintenance-free service.

Important: These products are normally non-structural retrofit covers. They must not bridge unsupported gaps or conceal an unsound substrate unless a separately designed system permits it.
